Vatorex at the Swiss Green Economy Symposium

Vatorex will participate in the Swiss Green Economy Symposium (SGES). The SGES aims to bring together key players from all parts of society, in order to tackle future challenges. Over 800 actors from politics, business, civil society and research, engage in discussions on topics such as energy use, food security, digitization and many more. Vatorex will be part of the discussion forum «Food: Sufficient, Healthy, Affordable, Sustainable»

Bees play a vital role in our environment and society. Through pollination they let our ecosystems flourish (quite literally)! Beside their importance for biodiversity, they are also the unsung heroes of our food production. Around 80% of our crops are pollinated by bees and one-third of our food depends on bees. Therefore, bees are indispensable for our agriculture and food security.

If we think about the future of food production, we need to take the well-being of bees into account. The use of pesticides and mono-cultures is a danger for the bees, as well as our own food security.

The SGES give us the chance to put the Bee’s importance on the agenda. Also, we have the opportunity to learn from experts on sustainability from all part of society and explore new partners to collaborate with.
